What we install

Each system suits a particular kind of house. Here is which, and why.

Dual energy

Electric heat pump and gas furnace

The heat pump carries the heating for most of the season, and the gas furnace takes over automatically in deep cold. Your ductwork is already there, you gain air conditioning along the way, and you keep the power of gas for the days that genuinely need it.

  • Your ducts are already there

A gas-heated house has a duct system — a central heat pump connects straight into it.

  • The changeover is automatic

The thermostat reads the outdoor temperature and picks the source. You touch nothing.

  • Gas is still there for deep cold

At −30 °C the furnace takes over and the house heats exactly as it always did.

  • Air conditioning comes with it

A heat pump is also an air conditioner — one less machine to replace later.

Since 1955

Three generations, one address

Founded in 1955 by Jean-Paul Dussault and Gérard Raymond, the company heated the West Island’s new houses, then cooled them, then converted them. Close to 40% of our team has been here more than 25 years — it is often the same technician coming back to you year after year.

What our customers say

  • I just had a new Lennox furnace and a/c installed by Pierrefonds Chauffage. It was a positive experience from beginning to end! From the professional sales rep right through to a super installation — would highly recommend them to anyone.

  • My heat pump failed when it was over 30 degrees out. We called Pierrefonds Chauffage Inc. A rep called us back the same day and booked us in for the next morning. He was professional and laid out a few options, explaining the advantages and drawbacks of each. We went with the Lennox XP14. The installation was done professionally within a few days. Very satisfied with the service and with how well the system performs. I highly recommend this company.

  • I had a heat pump installed with Pierrefonds Heating Inc. in June 2015. The heat pump has been working great ever since. The installers were very nice and pleasant to deal with. The installation went very smoothly. Also, the salesman told me that their service department would be contacting me after 1 year of installation to start a regular maintenance program. I was just contacted recently and have booked my first appointment. I must say I was very pleased with the installation and with the after service they provide. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

  • Thank you Pierrefonds Chauffage for my second heat pump — the first one lasted 14 years with no problems, and of course with the upkeep of the yearly service. I would like to thank the men who installed it; they are very friendly and left my place as it was when they arrived. They give very good service and I am a happy customer.
