An advisor comes out, measures, calculates your home's heat load and walks you through the options. No charge, and no decision required on the spot.
What actually happens during the visit
A heating quote given over the phone is worth nothing. The right capacity depends on insulation, glazing area, orientation, ceiling height and the state of your ducts — none of which can be guessed.
Here is what the advisor does at your house:
- Calculates the heat load, room by room. That calculation, not square footage alone, determines the capacity you need.
- Inspects your ductwork. An undersized duct system throttles any equipment, however good. Sometimes it needs modifying, and that is better known upfront.
- Checks the electrical panel. This is what derails more conversion projects than anything else, and it is solvable in advance.
- Sites the outdoor unit: clearances, mounting, line length, distance from bedroom windows.
- Listens. The room over the garage that never warms up, the upstairs that bakes in July, the noise that wakes you. Those details shape the recommendation as much as the numbers do.
What you get afterwards
A detailed written quote: the recommended equipment, the work included, the applicable rebates and the price. Where two scenarios are both defensible — heat pump or air conditioner, repair or replace — we price both and tell you which we would choose and why.
Then you take whatever time you need.

The company was founded in 1955, and close to 40% of our team has been here more than 25 years. Across the West Island we regularly install a second system for a customer we sold the first one to twenty years earlier.
That model does not survive high-pressure selling.
Frequently asked questions
Is the evaluation genuinely free?
Yes. The visit, the measurements, the load calculation and the written quote cost you nothing and commit you to nothing.
How long should I set aside?
Between 45 and 90 minutes depending on the house. The advisor needs to see the current system, the electrical panel, the ductwork, the basement and where the outdoor unit would go.
Will I have to decide on the spot?
No, and that is not how we work. You get a written quote to compare at your own pace. If someone asks you to sign the same evening to hold a price, that is not us.
What should I have ready?
Nothing mandatory, but three things help a lot: a recent Hydro-Québec or Énergir bill, the rough age of your current equipment, and a list of the rooms where you are uncomfortable. That last one often shapes the recommendation more than anything else.
